20 Severely Underrated PS1 Games You Totally Missed

15. Glover

https://youtu.be/HQfM7XE8j7M Glover is a slightly bizarre game. The titular character is an anthropomorphic, sentient glove who bounces a ball around. He then fights another glove that€™s also sentient - and evil. As you do. The gameplay is what really sets it apart from other platformer games, especially its ball mechanic. Say you find the ball in each level - it must then be kept intact, despite being able to change at any time into one of four forms. The rubber version bounces and can be thrown, the bowling ball doesn€™t break as easily, sinks, and kills enemies, the pinball form is for precise aiming, etc. Though some forms are more useful than others, you'll have to make use of each one in every stage. The art style and graphics really take a page from Super Mario 64, leaving Glover to abound in colourful castles and pastel enemies. It€™s the sort of stuff that can make you nostalgic for those older platformers. There was a N64 release that many consider superior, but if you just want another good platformer for your PS1 collection, Glover is not to be left out. While not on PS Store, the original release is easily available for a few bucks.
