20 Severely Underrated PS4 Games You Must Play

10. CounterSpy

If you played Shadow Complex and were forever waiting for another developer to iterate on the 2.5D plane of existence thing (shooting enemies in the background of an otherwise side-scrolling setup), you're in luck, CounterSpy is one of the best stealth-meets-action titles so far. Tasking you with infiltrating a number of areas all around the globe as a nuclear clock counts down to extinction, each one will tip the balance in an opposing favour, alongside making either the Americans or the Soviets up their defences for the next deployment. The best part is simply playing it, as the game engine switches from side-on sneaking and enemy-watching, directly into an over-shoulder shooter whenever you take cover. Throw in some meaty takedown animations if anyone gets too close and an addictive, replayable nature that weaponises the "Just one more go' approach, and it's the perfect indie game with one hell of an original hook.
