20 Things RPGs Taught Us About Life

17. You Alone Have The Power To Open Treasure Chests

Not only are treasure chests and other miscellaneous items a part of the local fauna and flora, but you - and you only - can find and open up these things to find the spoils within. Nobody else in the world seems to be aware that they can get new weapons and stuff for free; they're all too busy paying the inflated merchant prices. What a bunch of prats.

16. The Local Wildlife Carries Money and Other Useful Stuff

Although they're definitely not popping by the shops anytime soon, the local monsters and general nasties that want to eat your limbs always carry around a healthy stock of cash. The big nasties generally have the most; they're clearly hording it for a rainy day's shopping at the local shopping centre. Easiest way to get rich? Kill them all! Note: badgers, foxes and other assorted wildlife in the real world do not give up cash.
