20 Video Games That Defined 20 Years Of PlayStation

10. Jak 3

The always-reliable Naughty Dog's Jak & Daxter games were some of the most technically accomplished titles on the PS2, giving the player a massive, seamlessly connected world that could be explored without encountering a single loading screen. Though choosing a favourite Jak & Daxter game is a bit like choosing between offspring, Jak 3 is arguably the finest entry in the series. The games changed drastically with each instalment and 3 was a perfect blend of Jak 1's platforming and Jak 2's third-person shooting action while also throwing some solid car physics into the mix. There hasn't been a new Jak & Daxter game in 10 years, but the series solidified Naughty Dog's reputation as technical wizards capable of squeezing every ounce of power out of Sony's hardware.

When I'm not playing games, I'm probably either writing about them somewhere or singing stupid songs inspired by them. Or eating pizza.
