2. The Lame Final Boss
As so many Resident Evil games do, RE7 goes totally off the rails in its final boss encounter, which is extremely disappointing to say the least.
Ethan makes it to Eveline and injects her with the E-Necrotoxin, transforming her into old lady form temporarily, before she melts into the floor and transforms again into a gigantic mold creature with an old lady face.
It's a silly fight made worse because it's basically on-rails and incredibly difficult to die on Normal difficulty. All you have to do is unload bullets into the bullet sponge until you're gifted the Albert, which you can use to finish her off by unloading in her face.
After the game got so much right, this really felt like a lazy, generic way to tie things off, as it was easy, short and stupid.
