1. Chris Redfield?
And of course, it's the biggest WTF of all: after the game seemed almost entirely disconnected from the wider RE universe, a man calling himself "Redfield" (and listed in the credits as "Chris Redfield") shows up to rescue Ethan at the end of the game.
The character model is fairly different from the previous, steroid-pumped version, and he's now apparently working for Umbrella, so, has Chris merely joined a new, benevolent Umbrella group, or is this in fact HUNK posing as Chris, as many fans believe?
It was a bizarre mic drop of an ending that certainly got fans talking, and avidly anticipating this spring's Not A Hero DLC which will hopefully clear all the confusion up.
