The new Hitman reboot is released on December 8th, but it won't be available in disc form for quite some time, reportedly due to the wealth of content that will be continually added to the game over time in episodic updates. It's a frustrating direction in which the industry is going for those who prefer to have physical copies of their games, because digital theoretically gives the developers far too much control, and somewhat feels like a scheme to get more sales that can't be either returned (especially on consoles) or traded in. The disc version will show up presumably when all the content is eventually available, by which point most people will already own the game anyway, rendering it pointless for all but the most patient and late-to-the-party few.
