7. FIFA 17's Career Mode Forces You To Be Alex Hunter

While it's pleasantly surprising to see an EA Sports game taking a bold risk, with FIFA 17 introducing a story mode (called The Journey), it does come with a catch.

Though players are free to join any Premier League team of their choosing, they are forced to play as protagonist Alex Hunter throughout, rather than create their own character with a name and look to match.

Sure, it's understandable why EA went this route, because it allows characters to talk to the protagonist in a direct way rather than awkwardly skirting around saying his name because you've decided to name your guy Sephiroth.

Still, the fact you can't even customise his look just reeks of laziness on EA's part, but perhaps proper judgement should be reserved until the game is actually in our hands.
