10. The Mark Of Kri

Sony

Sony have tried for decades now to get more mascots off the ground, and although Kratos shot to the forefront thanks to being more brutal than Bloodborne's opening stretch, The Mark of Kri was almost like your favourite childhood Disney animation come to life.

Pioneering a revolutionary combat system that assigned different buttons to different enemies' heads, you could ping-pong between them in a whirling tornado of blades and finishing moves. Stealth also played a part, letting you send a raven out to scout areas ahead, and as a defining visual style, those Disney comparisons were more than apt.

Since 2002 this has spawned a sequel and appeared on both the PS3 and PS4 as a downloadable. Sony seem very proud of what they've created, and as a world so completely untapped of its potential, a modern day sequel would sell by the bucketload.
