25 Most Criminally Underrated PS2 Games Of All Time
4. Okami
Shadow of the Colossus and ICOs could be thought of as beautiful works of art that just happen to be video games, and alongside, Okami stands tall as a Japanese tapestry brought to life in the most picturesque way possible.
Playing as a spectral white wolf, Amaterasu, you'd return colour to the world around you by bounding around it and drawing brushwork patterns in the sky and on the environment. Controls was just sublime, the perfect combination of kinetic movement factored into third-person brawling, mixed with occasional painted brush stroke to deal extra damage.
You could pause Okami at any stage and it would make for a perfect wall-hanging painting - it just looks that damn good.
