30 Classic SNES Games You Must Play Before You Die
19. Super Mario RPG: Legend Of The Seven Stars
The final Mario game released on the SNES isn't exactly the most conventional. In fact, Mario's final 16-bit appearance wasn't developed by Nintendo at all - it was created by RPG masters Square.
With a great team at the helm, Super Mario RPG was never going to disappoint. The 3D graphics are among the best the SNES has to offer and the gameplay is engaging, albeit simplistic.
The real hook is the humour, combining with a compelling storyline to bring the Mushroom Kingdom to life like never before. A must play for Mario fans or, indeed, RPG fans in general.
