30 Classic SNES Games You Must Play Before You Die
12. Secret Of Mana
RPGs are a great but lonely genre, right? Well, not according to Secret Of Mana. It allowed up to three people to play co-operatively, controlling each character individually and allowing players to team up to beat the game - it was pretty revolutionary.
Unsurprisingly, with Square developing the game, the music, graphics and in-battle gameplay are phenomenal. The soundtrack alone justifies a playthrough, especially if you're a Final Fantasy fan - it's wonderfully atmospheric.
Daunted by the RPG genre? This is a great title to begin with - the Ring Command system strips away the menu-heavy standards of the genre, opening the series up to a wider variety of people. Those looking to spend a weekend away in an enchanting world need this in their life.
