2. Sony Answers Fanboy Prayers With The Last Guardian, Final Fantasy VII Remake & Shenmue 3
Sony's take on backwards compatibility might leave plenty to be desired, but who can forget their insane triple-bombshell drop, opening their conference with a gameplay reveal of the shiny new PS4 version of The Last Guardian? Later, they followed up with the massively unexpected Final Fantasy VII remake CGI trailer, and finally, announcing that Shenmue 3 is going to happen with the help of Sony and Kickstarter. While younger gamers may not have appreciated the nostalgia bait on display, for gamers in their late 20s and above, there was almost certainly a huge amount of joy to be had for the latter two announcements in particular. These games are going to happen, and there's arguably never been a more exciting time to be a gamer, so savour it.
