4 Reasons Why the Watch Dogs Delay is a Good Thing

3. More Time for Polishing

Watch Dogs Polish According to Ubisoft, the main reason Watch Dog's was delayed was to ensure the game was as polished as possible. At first, this seems odd, given the high quality of all the demos seen at conventions like E3 and on sites like IGN. But then you realize that the developers probably put a bunch of time and effort into making those look and play as good as possible to lure in potential buyers. And when you consider what's included in the game, like drop-in/drop-out co-op, second screen capability, and a huge environment full of interactive stuff, the whole polishing thing looks a lot more understandable than it did. With the revelation that the most recent Splinter Cell and Rayman games underperformed, Ubisoft can't afford to screw up its next gen debut with a buggy release and lose even more money. While it seems like a cruel trick from a consumer's point of view, the delay means we'll probably get a better game when we finally start it up. For once, our interests and corporate interests line up; now we just have to hope that Ubisoft can deliver on their promises.
