4 Video Games That Prove The Review System Is Broken

2. Killer Is Dead

Metascore: 64 Suda51s latest game has a criminally low Metacritic score of 64, a pretty sure fire way to put the nail in the coffin of a new IP. Killer is Dead is a character action, hack and slash game, in the vein of No More Heroes, Lollipop Chainsaw and well, basically anything by Suda51. It's ridiculous, epic, brash and even more ridiculously epic. Killer is Dead revolved around a hitman named Mondo who received contracts from a shadowy agency. Each level saw a new client and a new hit. Of course, the plot quickly escalated and before you knew it, you were fighting a bug monster on the moon. It was a load of fun with a killer art style to boot. Yes, the 'Gigolo' missions (which saw you perving on girls with x-ray specs) were a little weird and uncomfortable but the main game was fun for anyone, at least anyone who likes the genre and knows what they're getting into. Killer is Dead is by no means a masterpiece, but it's not as bad as critics would have you believe.
