41 Must Buy Video Games Of 2014

17. Persona 5 €“ Q4 (PS3)

Confession time; I've never played a Persona game, although I am familiar with the franchise. The game usually center on your average Anime high school kids that get wrapped up in a more adult-oriented murder mystery of sorts. It€™s not just about fighting standard JRPG enemies and dungeon crawling though, for the actual high school social interaction plays a pivotal part too and enhances the aura of mystery and deception. Nevertheless, this is a highly lauded JRPG series and Persona 5 appears to be a nice jumping-in point.

16. Tom Clancy€™s The Division €“ Q4 (PS4, XBO, PC)

The Division is one of the most highly anticipated next generation releases, amongst one of the most out of this world ambitious. It€™s an MMO in in a third-person shooter setting with a full-fledged campaign mode. This is the type of interaction that many developers seem to be going for nowadays, considering just how powerful these next generation consoles are. Also, shooting hordes of virus infected people in a cooperative setting sounds way more appealing than Splinter Cell 42 or Rainbow Six Vegas 57. As expected from a next generation game, the graphics look highly detailed and impressive too.

15. The Evil Within €“ TBA (PS3, PS4, 360, XBO, PC)

What happens when the grandfather of Survival Horror Shinji Mikami returns to his roots? Well, we get all the grotesque imagery and monster designs you see in the below trailer. Outside of harkening back to true purist survival horror gameplay, The Evil Within is looking genuinely horrifying and also psychologically twisted, as Sebastian slowly loses his sanity in understanding a mass murderer case alongside the aforementioned horrors. Shinji Mikami is famous for creating Resident Evil but this honestly sounds like his attempt at a Silent Hill experience. Personally, I€™m just glad the master is back in the game. http://youtu.be/R4orNvYISjs
