45 Reasons Why THE LEGEND OF ZELDA Could Be The Greatest Series Of All Time

41. It was a Simpler Time

"You have water, come to my house" - Zelda II (A woman ushers Link into her home)
You don't have to look far for Zelda puns or innuendos, what makes it better is that Link seems like such a pure-hearted boy, who just has to wear tights and earrings because the hero of time adorned it.

42. Multiplayer Oppurtunities

Usually known for being just a single player adventure, the Four Swords Adventures brought about a new mechanic that allowed you to play with up to three of your friends. The game also featured a selection of different modes, seperate from the main storyline, and included new enemy, Shadow Link. Unfortunately, as we all know, there are a small handful of Zelda haters out there. For me, all my friends were Zelda haters, so I never got a chance to try the game out, so please leave anything you'd like to add about Four Swords in the comments below!

43. Star Fox

Miyamoto, the creator of Zelda also worked on Star Fox and we can't be sure whether this is just some major coincidence or a hidden surprise. Once you've obtained the masks in Majora's Mask, they line up as the Keaton Mask (Fox McCloud), Bremen Mask (Falco Lombardi), Bunny Hood (Peppy Hare), Don Gero's Mask (Slippy Toad) Right, I may be clutching at straws here but let me know what you think. (The fox, bird, bunny and frog)

44. University of California's Marching Band

Ok, so I'm not American and don't know a lot about football. I do know, that the half time show's can be huge and I've seen videos of California's Marching Band before and their sequences are fairly epic to say the least. In the past they've done huge Red Hot Chilli Pepper covers, Beatle's covers and even this one. Gaming covers, featuring a variety of Nintendo games and a couple of others. Zelda and the triforce features about halfway through it. http://youtu.be/E2UaVcZPsYU

45. Miyamoto created it!

Creator of the series, the game was inspired by his explorations into forests and hillsides at his childhood home in Sonobe, Japan. This seems to be why the game makes such a great childhood, coming of age story and a tale that everyone can relate too. This article should really have been called, '1 Reason Why...' and Miyamoto should be it. But WhatCulture! is a slave driver that employs a minimum word count, and apparently 'It's Miyamoto, B***h!', isn't justified enough. But there you have it, "45 Reasons Why The Legend of Zelda Could be the Greatest Series of all Time!" Hope you enjoyed it, and add some of your own reasons in the comments below! Also, look out for our Skyward Sword review which will be up soon.
