5 Awesome Games That Deserve Sequels

3. Jade Empire

If there's one developer I can depend on creating vast, complex and interesting worlds, it's Bioware. There are many IP's that stand out in their catalog, but none stand out more than Jade Empire. It was the first RPG of its kind, with its general premise revolving around Chinese martial arts and fantasy. Even though it was received extremely well by critics, that didn't translate to sales, snuffing out any hope of a sequel. With fans yearning to hear some news on a sequel, its about time Jade Empire is given another chance. Jade Empire wasn't perfect, its block system was felt shoe-horned in and combat at times felt very repetitive, but it's to be expected with an new form of gameplay. One of the fun aspects were the instantaneously switching between styles, giving a sense of how marital art movie legends like Jackie Chan fought, you may even be prompted to verbalize declarations such as "Heh, seems you can handle my Leaping Tiger style. Well lets see how you like Drunken Master!" The story was incredible, with plenty of plot twists and intriguing characters along the journey, which was amplified by Jack Wall's epic composing. This love letter to the genre of Martial Arts and innovative gameplay mechanics deserves a second chance, but I shan't hold my breath sadly.

Aaron Neil Scanlon hasn't written a bio just yet, but if they had... it would appear here.
