5 Awful Actors Who Were Almost Cast In Video Game Movies

4. Arnold Schwarzenegger - King Koopa (Super Mario Bros.)

Arnold-Schwarzenegger-Is-BackIn-Bronze A film that has divided all children of the 90s. Some hate it... and... well, okay everyone hates this film. It's god awful. Very little redeemable content can be found. Everyone sucked, the script sucked - although the 3D pin-art toy that Luigi uses at the beginning did make us tantrum at our mothers for quite some time until we got one. It's a shame, kinda. Because the three leading men: Hoskins, Leguizamo and Hopper - they all are great actors... when they want to be. Okay, Dennis Hopper's given some odd performances but Easy Rider and Apocalypse Now - they kind of give him a free life-pass. He wasn't a good Bowser/King Koopa though. He was awful. And we believe the actor originally intended for the part, one Arnold Schwarzenegger, would've actually been a pretty cool choice. It hopefully would've given him enough sense not to help produce the steaming turd that is Batman and Robin and, quite frankly, his over-the-top Mr. Freeze performance would've suited the simplistic campness of Super Mario far more. Instead there was too much reality, not enough colour, and not enough awful Schwarzenegger!
