5 Great X-Men Video Games & 5 That Sucked
10. Sucked - X-Men (Sega Genesis, 1993)
Any gamer born in the eighties or nineties will admit that there are a handful of Sega Genesis games that feel nearly impossible to beat — as children then and as adults now. X-Men was one of those games.
Released in 1993, the game had a decent cast of characters but only afforded the player to select Cyclops, Nightcrawler, Wolverine, or Gambit for primary play. Characters like Storm and Iceman could only be called in for special assists.
The boss battles were frustratingly difficult, which can be reasonably expected. But when the simple act of jumping is just as hard, there's no excuse.
Couple these problems with the maddening "reset" trick required to continue after the Mojo level and you've got a title that most fans decided to rage quit.
