2. A Mercenaries Arsenal
Now, it could be very easy to create the illusion of a deep combat system without the requirement of a wide range of mercenary weaponry. High Moon Studios could easily fall back on having dual-wield pistols, a sword, and martial arts as the deep combat system that balances all three. That just won't do. Deadpool doesn't know the word simple, and he certainly doesn't look it up in the dictionary. A wide range of weaponry making its way into the game would do gamers a great deal of justice, and players should be able to expect assault rifles, LMG's, rocket launchers, sniper rifles, etc. If the team limits Deadpool to a small range of weaponry, then they will definitely lose an aspect of what makes the character so amazing. He is completely over-the-top and it's always fun to witness. A more interesting way to approach the idea of a gigantic arsenal is by allowing players to gain money on each mission. Players could complete side missions that allow for extra cash once the mission is complete to purchase new items and guns for the next level. I would certainly go for as many decapitations as possible, if it meant an extra $20,000. Wouldn't you? No? Oh...well, this is a little awkward because I'm already flinging my pen like it's a sword.
3. Visible Health Regen...I'm Lookin' At You Bub'
Anyone whos aware of the Deadpools character is surely familiar with his accelerated healing factor. This is of course perfect considering that almost every action game on the market relies on regenerating health. Yet, should it simply be limited to a health bar magically refilling, or should the developers show the damage inflicted on our favorite assassin? The answer to this question is yes, yes they should. If anyone happened to play through the X-Men Origins Wolverine game they got a sample of how awesome it can actually look to watch a mutant regenerate their health. Wolverines skin would be taken off in chunks revealing a bloody mash up of organs and adamantium skeleton. Then as time slowly ticked away, players were able to witness his life saving power first hand as his flesh weaved itself back together. High Moon Studios would be doing the comic fans a solid by spending some time ensuring that fans are treated to the visual experience of Wade Wilson healing himself from the aftermath of a battle. Just dont let him grow back entire body parts from his bloody stumps. I really dont mind picking them back up. Click "next" below to read our final ideas...
