5 Reasons Why The Assassin's Creed Series Needs A Break

4. Assassin's Creed = Call Of Duty

assassins-creed-3 Let me just say this argument is absolutely invalid. The only comparison between the two franchises is their yearly releases. Rather than a 5 hour campaign tacked on to a disc most people only buy for the multi-player, the AC series focus has always been on delivering great single-player stories. (Some exceeding lengths of 20 hours with all the side missions.) They give you an entire world to roam and pay great attention to historical detail. Even though it is not presented accurately, all you have to do is open the huge (and sometimes sarcastic) database and learn just a little bit of history. (Something some COD games used to do, but now it's all about what will sell. Apparently that's modern/future warfare.) With each AC entry getting just a little bit lower in quality each year, and the next game looking like a full-fledged pirate game. (It's almost a unanimous decision that the ship battles were nearly everyone's favorite part of AC3.) Hopefully, AC isn't becoming a series that will repeat its best formulas without ever improving because they know it will sell. The only way to make sure this doesn't happen is by giving the series a much needed break. C'mon Ubisoft, don't let this argument become valid!
