5 Video Game Characters Who Really Deserve A Holiday

3. James Sunderland (Silent Hill 2)

Silent Hill 2 James 600x300 After receiving a letter from his dead wife, James Sunderland rocks up in Silent Hill to try and find her. Once a tourist town, now Silent Hill is anything but. James is met by all manner of horrors and an endless bout of eerie rolling fog (you know, unless you're playing the HD collection). The ghosts that James encounters in Silent Hill are enough to make anyone turn tail and run, but that wouldn't even help. Silent Hill's not done with you until it's done with you. And as James travels towards a finale, we learn, predictably, that it isn't all going to be smiles and roses. Now admittedly, James isn't the most worthy addition on our list. To say Mr Sunderland has a few skeletons in his closet would be a severe understatement. But Silent Hill is punishment enough for any tortured soul. Horrible monsters, desolate loneliness, mass death and a guy with a flippin' pyramid for a head is bad enough before you add in the concept of going to another reality altogether in the other world. James has been through the psychological ringer so he should stop for a while, forget about controlling dogs, aliens, murder and fog and figure out his next move. Recommended Holiday Destination: Anywhere other than Silent Hill
