5 Weirdest Endings In Tekken Video Games

1. Anna Williams - Tekken 2

The Williams sisters, Anna and Nina, have been present in the franchise since the original Tekken game, and alongside being sisters-come-spies-come-actresses, they’re also fated rivals. While in recent years this rivalry has seen both sisters try to blow the other up, it hasn’t always been quite so violent between the two.

In Anna’s ending for Tekken 2, players are not shown what Anna would do with the power of the Mishima Zaibatsu at her disposal, but rather were given a rather raunchy-for-the-time look at the younger Williams sister taking a shower. For some reason.

Keeping it PG of course, the scene which got gamers’ hearts racing in the mid-nineties sees Anna come out of the shower, dry herself off briefly and then just stand and seemingly admire her naked body in the mirror. (This is all shot very tastefully however. Very tastefully!) It’s at this point that her older sister Nina sneaks in, and snaps a photo of Anna in the nip.

Is this a justifiable reason for trying to murder or double-cross your sister on a constant basis over the next coming years? I mean, it’s not up to me to judge people’s family lives.

And that’s our list. Tekken has been host to a number of wild and wacky stories over the years, but has managed to keep fans engaged with its punchy (sorry) gameplay and its interesting cast of characters. With Tekken 7 streamlining these experiences into one-fight “character episodes”, I certainly hope that we get back to the weird and endearing stories in Tekken 8.
