6 Possibilities For Yuke's New Wrestling Video Game IP
3. Booking Simulator
Those who remember how great the SmackDown! series was probably also put some time into Extreme Warfare Revenge, a fond cult classic in the hearts of many gamers and/or wrestling fans alike. Adam Ryland has gone onto turn this free game into a successful franchise with TEW: 2020 reportedly coming out some time near the end of this year. When it comes to booking simulation, Adam has always had the PC covered.
But we have never gotten a true, fully fleshed out version for consoles. A fully tailored booking suite designed for home consoles would be a dream to many. This would be a very interesting approach for Yuke's to take, as it would decidedly go more towards the hardcore wrestling fan base. For once, the in ring action would be an afterthought to a WWE video game which would be unheard of.
Sure, we've had General Manager modes and WWE Universe but nothing to the degree of a Booking Revolution or TEW. This could also bring a much more fully developed mode for WWE 2K20 as well. The new IP should be considered a helpful tool to improve the 2K franchise, and this would certainly be a means of achieving that.
