This is another entry on the list that we probably won't ever see, but there's still a glimmer of hope. Along with 1313, this was another victim of Disney's decision to close down LucasArts. It would originally have focused on Darth Maul, from his childhood as a Sith apprentice all the way to his adult days of helping Palpatine set the Grand Plan into motion. However, members of developer Red Flt Studio even met with George Lucas to discuss any input that he might have for the project, and he decided, after viewing both statues of Maul and Darth Talon during the meeting, that he wanted them both to appear together in the game. This is despite the fact that Talon existed 170 years after Maul. So the game's plot had to be altered drastically, with the protagonist instead being a distant descendant of Maul to explain how he could co-exist in Talon's time. The new story would have seen the two of them going up against Darth Krayt, a popular new Sith new character from the Star Wars comic books, and his armies. Then, with the closure of LucasArts, development was ceased entirely. Lately, Dan Borth of developer Red Fly Studio hosted a session of Reddit where he explained that he was working on a new concept demo to impress EA, in the hopes that the project might be resurrected. So hopefully EA will go ahead and give the game the green light. Hopefully. Which of these upcoming Star Wars games are you most keen to play? Share your favourites below in the comments thread.
