6 Video Games You Can't Deny Would Be GREAT Movies

Sicario 2 director Stefano Sollima already has a new project in his sight, a film based off the Call of Duty franchise. And while no other concrete information has been published yet, Sollima has acknowledged the curse of video game movies and is keen to avoid the reputation predecessors have acquired.

While we're unsure as to whether or not Sollima will focus on a specific game series, or pool together his own imagination, if he does lean towards the games for inspiration might we suggest he try the Modern Warfare series?

This trilogy was the more grounded of the other games, and brought with it enough realism to make it contemporary but just enough technical magic to make it feel other-worldly.

For the games to work as a film, they would have to each be treated individually. A story as vast as the Modern Warfare series can't be told in just one movie; as the very themes and escalation of those games require breathing space in between. Here's hoping Sicario 2 shows Sollima has what it takes to bring gritty warfare to the screen, and showcase what he hopes to bring to the Live-Action adaptation of the games.

I overthink a lot of things. Will talk about pretty much anything for a great length of time. I'm obsessed with General Slocum from the 2002 Spider-Man film. I have questions that were never answered in that entire trilogy!
