7 Awesome Film Franchises That Deserve A Great Next-Gen Game

5. RoboCop

With the RoboCop film franchise set to be rebooted in 2014, there is surely no better time to resurrect the RoboCop video game franchise, one that has been stale for the past decade with the last game arriving in 2003 to poor reviews. With one of the coolest cyber-heroes around and a great science fiction setting in the future Detroit, RoboCop should seemingly be a no-brainer for a next generation game, especially with the new film reinventing his look and probably his abilities. Alex Murphy€™s adventures through the shady and sinister near future landscape would be a perfect set-up for a third-person action adventure. That along with the cool gadgets and inclusion of a possible upgrade system for Murphy€™s weaponry and such would provide a cool and unique experience. And of course, a RoboCop game would not be complete with an evil Omni Consumer Products CEO out to remove Murphy with a legion of goons and ED-209€™s and other possible robots new to the series. The game could incorporate the satirical nature of Verhoeven€™s 1987 film too, or follow the reboot (more likely), which may be going for a more superhero style. Either way, RoboCop is overdue a good video game adaption.
