This is a unique and incredibly memorable mission for its difficulty as well as its very original intended path. It's the type of mission that feels as if it is pulled straight from a movie.
47 is sent to Russia to assassinate an unidentified army general at a meeting. This places a time limit on the mission, adding some serious tension, even today it stands as the single most stressful mission in the series.
After you get to your sniper nest 47 will be fed information about the target and it's up to him to shoot the right man, and not one of the many other guests at the meeting. The tension that builds while you wait for further information combined with the power felt by slowly holding the scope at the room is great.
This set piece is as close as it comes to making the player feel like a true hitman, trying to pull off the perfect shot. Above all else, it's a mission that rewards patience rather than trial and error. Really mixing up the Hitman formula unlike any other level.
