One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 is a game based on One Piece, that insanely long anime and manga that your annoying friend keeps telling you to watch or read (I am that annoying friend).

One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 is a part of the Pirate Warriors series, a crossover series between One Piece and Dynasty Warriors.

Unlike the previous game One Piece: Pirate Warriors 3 which covers the majority of the major arcs all the way up to the Dressrosa Arc, One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 rushes through most of the series to get to the Wano Country Arc which is where most of the game takes place.

Since the Wano Country Arc isn't finished in the manga or anime yet, the game even has a unique ending.

It’s Dynasty Warriors gameplay with an anime-pirate skin where you get to play as a ton of iconic One Piece pirates such as all of the Straw Hat Pirates, Doflamingo, Crocodile, Ace, Shanks, and Blackbeard - a character who definitely originated from One Piece, right?

Whilst it's definitely not the ideal way of experiencing the One Piece story, if you're caught up with the show or manga then definitely give this game a go.
