7 Best WWE Video Games For Recreating The Royal Rumble

6. WWE '12

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2aRg1i0dLd8 WWE '12's version of the Rumble makes the list as it achieved something WWE's newest title wasn't able to. It kept itself up to date with the current product. One of the main criticisms of 2K15, one of a catalogue full, is that most of the roster as in outdated attire. Some of the main event level, Messrs Rollins, Ambrose and Reigns in particular, appear in outdated gear that really is an insult when you think about it. The Shield are still in the game despite splitting up around five months before the release date, complete with theme music, crowd entrance and triple power bomb. How WWE could release a game knowing that was still in is beyond belief. The lack of sync between the real life product and this virtual reality is something that is made even more bewildering when you see how WWE has done it beforehand. While in partnership with THQ, they were able to keep up to date with the product on television, albeit with more time to make any tweaks. Real-life WWE introduced a 40 man Royal Rumble event back in 2011 for one year only. Alberto Del Rio won the match by eliminating the surprise package of that year's Rumble, Santino Marella. WWE '12, which was released 11months later included a 40 man RR which obviously made things ever so slightly more challenging for WWE gamers. The lack of a clothesline to eliminate an opponent is an annoyance more than anything as you have to push your adversary out of the ring to do so. How many times do you see that in the real Rumble?
