4. A Land Of Opportunities Story
As well as the many Stranger Missions in RDO, the game also offered a Story Mode.
While Stranger Missions were pretty simple tasks given by an NPC, the story revolved around the revenge of one Mrs. LeClerk.
After creating a character, players were introduced to Horley after he springs you from a prison wagon, and then brings you to LeClerk. According to her, the same people that put the PC behind bars were also responsible for her late husband's death.
The missions offered large action set pieces from storming castles to a high stakes shoot outs in the streets of Blackwater.
One of the more interesting aspects of the missions was that they differed depending on the player's honour level. While the overall outcome was the same it did offer a nice bit of replayability.
Unfortunately, LeClerk has not been heard from in over a year with no sign of an update to her story any time soon.
