7 Most Destructive Video Game Shotguns

5. VK-12 Combat Shotgun - F.E.A.R.

In a game series featuring a creepy, psychic, ghost-girl ripped straight from The Ring, clandestine agencies, and nefarious human experimentation, it’s a little odd that one of the best remembered elements of the game is the, quite frankly ridiculous, VK-12 Shotgun.

The shotgun doles out massive damage and at unusually long ranges; the weapon is powerful enough to one-shot most of the game's regular enemies and will make short work of anything tougher.

When coupled with the series' big gameplay gimmick – the ability to slow down time – you’ll be able to ambush targets with ease.

Given that F.E.A.R. was part of the corridor-shooter generation of FPSs, most of the confrontations are close range, so there’s no reason not to use this magnificent gun as much as possible.

Each shot sends your enemies flying, the ragdoll physics doing excellent work; soldiers back-flip and bounce off walls with wince-inducing force.
