7 Reasons Ape Escape Should Get A HD Trilogy Remaster
3. Loads Of Content
A HD remaster seems like a great idea when you look at the first trilogy of games. Remastering them will provide players with around forty-fifty hours of gameplay across the three games and Sony don't have to worry about designing a whole new game from the ground up. Additionally, the trilogy of games featured unlockable music, comics, short stories and concept art. Already that's a fair amount of content to warrant a fair price tag.
The three games also all featured mini-games. Each entry in the franchise had three unique mini-games, meaning that the remaster could feature all nine. To give credit to the developers as well, these mini-games were worth playing for more than just a couple minutes. Ape Escape 2's Monkey Football was really fun and allowed you to create a fantasy team made up of all the monkeys you had captured in the game! With these mini-games added the remaster could easily add several hours of more content.
If Sony wanted to take it a step further they could even add a Monkey Academy mode and add the PSP Ape Escape Academy game to the remaster, making it the ultimate Ape Escape package. While Crash Bandicoot and Spyro's remasters were great games, Ape Escape has the additional edge of just having so much extra content for players to occupy themselves with.
