7 Reasons Far Cry 5 Could Be The Most Controversial Game Ever

The whole problem comes from the hypocrisy of white, rural Americans, who just don't want to see their kind fail, even on the TV screen.

Apart from GTA, there aren't really any video games in which one American would kill other, regular citizens. When a cop kills criminals, a soldier kills terrorists, etc., it's a whole different story. However, because GTA is a satire, it was able to get away with what is ostensibly, on-screen genocide.

Far Cry 5 is rather serious (to some degree, anyway), and with realistic graphics, it may appear too brutal for those already finding it hard to accept the premise. The real shock and controversy comes solely from the hypocrisy of those outraged by the antagonist being a white christian male.

However, as proven by the previous entries, the creators don't care who they target - everybody gets a fair shake.

And that's how it's supposed to be.
