7 Reasons To Be Excited About Final Fantasy XV

4. A Fantasy Based On Reality

One of the big selling points about XV is its tagline: 'a fantasy based on reality'.

Yes, unlike other games in the series, XV is set in a more realistic world which in many ways is a highly stylised version of our own. During the development cycle, the game's developers have taken inspiration from many locations across the globe to put together FFXV's world; you may see locations inspired by Tokyo, Venice and even the Bahamas as you explore!

But it's also a fantasy; for every 'realistic' location you'll see, you'll also see it added to to change it to a more fantasy setting. This can be anything from huge creatures grazing by a lake to huge, impossible structures across the skyline (and, of course, airships are present).

You can see this aesthetic in action throughout the released gameplay footage and to a greater extent within Kingsglaive, XV's accompanying movie.

Ever wanted to see a Behemoth rampaging across a realistic field? Final Fantasy XV has you covered!
