6. Mikhail Gorbachev - Street Fighter II: The World Warrior
So as to prove that not all Presidents reside within the borders of the United States, Former President of The Soviet Union, Mikhail Gorbachev does indeed pop up in one of the strangest video game cameos ever, that being in Street Fighter 2!
Before you think this is going to be another example of Abe Lincoln throwing fists, this is actually a non-combatant appearance, but it's still a bloody great one, seeing as it centres around the shaved beef bear Zangief and his arcade mode storyline. Here Big Z is looking to show the world the power of the Soviet Union, you know those cheeky chaps who formed the backbone of pretty much every foreign Hollywood villain throughout the 80's and 90's?
He does this by battering his opponents into the ground like fleshy tent pegs, and is rewarded for all of his hard work by an appearance of none other than Gorbachev who remains unnamed in the game but come on how could this NOT be him, and celebrates with Zangief by joining in with a bit of Hopak dancing.
