7 Video Games That Fixed Massive Plot Holes

6. Human Traitor Turned Turian - Mass Effect: Legendary Edition

Sometimes plot holes are created because chunks of the script have been cut out and things are hastily stitched together, sometimes it's because the devs simply didn't consider something that fans then blew up into a massive tear in the continuity, and sometimes, just sometimes, an incorrect art asset will change the very tone of the entire game.

This is exactly what happened in Mass Effect thanks to the character of Elanos Haliat. Here players were introduced to a human with such a chip on his shoulder he might as well have bought a deep fat fryer and made serious bank, and who wants to put a dent in the Alliance through violent means as well as taking out the first Human Spectre aka you.

However, some odd things occur when the player starts looking at Elanos's dialogue, which keeps referring to humans as "Shephard's kind" as well as expressing mass disdain for humans in general. This coupled with his attacks on Elysium with other human-hating mercenaries definitely makes for a strange moment.

Are we witnessing an interesting take on a man who has forsaken his species out of sheer hatred? Is this a truly unique piece of Bioware storytelling?

Nah. just a wrong asset that was finally patched in the Mass Effect: Legendary edition.
