7 Video Games That Fixed Massive Plot Holes
5. Shocked And Locked (Up) - Batman: Arkham Knight
While a lot of purist Batman-fans might write off Arkham: Origins from the overall experience thanks to the fact that it wasn't developed by Rocksteady, the title still provides a tonne of fun, intrigue, and a surprisingly decent, if not at all asked for, multiplayer mode.
Yet the standout star of the show isn't The Joker and friends hamming it up to charcuterie levels, nor the enjoyable Xmas setting of the title, but a piece of Juicy Bruce's arsenal that is so batterly broken it makes Bane's back-breaking palms begin to sweat.
I'm speaking of course about the almighty Shock Gloves, which basically put the experience on Easy Mode as you were now able to do double damage, smash through tougher enemies and send enough currents through foes that they'd end up looking like raisins by the time you were done with them.
However, this amazing bit of tech also created a massive plot hole, as if these gauntlets were this good, then why the hell wasn't Batman using them more? Well, Arkham Knight has an answer, albeit not a very fun one.
In the game, players can visit the Gotham Police Armoury and see the gloves locked inside a cabinet, here you can hear officers muse about why Batman doesn't use something that would make his job infinitely easier, before then conceding that Batman probably wants more of a challenge. Like I said it's not the most fun answer but at least it ties up a loose end.
