7 Video Games You Didn’t Realise Were Sequels

3. Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing - Sega Superstars

Sega Superstars is a pretty long-running franchise that everybody seems to think began with Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing. It turns out that Sega characters met up a couple of times before they decided to challenge each other to a friendly race.

The original Sega Superstars launched for the PlayStation 2's EyeToy. It was a basic mini-game compilation that made use of the peripherals technology. Since 99% of the EyeToy's games were mini-game compilations, it makes sense that the game was quickly forgotten.

The franchise also had a tennis game, Sega Superstars Tennis, before it became the racing series we all know it as today.

Whilst another Sega racing game would be amazing, it would also be nice to see the Sega gang tackle some more genres in the future like they used to.

Maybe Super Sega Bros.? Where else could the Football Manager get into a fight with Sonic and Kazuma Kiryu?

Make it happen, Sega!
