7 Video Games You Have To Play Twice To Understand

4. Dead Rising

A Quiet Man
Capcom

Despite being extremely liberal with its comedic stylings, one should never ever forget that at its core Dead Rising is a horror experience through and through. From its hordes of horrible zombies, through to the real enemy of the game being that ever ticking clock, you'll have to move fast and hit bloody hard in order to make it through this nightmarish ordeal.

It's very likely in fact that your time within Willamette might end on a rather dour note upon your first stab at the game, as trying to complete every story mission and rescue all the survivors when Frank is ill-equipped and rocking stats that are absolutely pathetic is a truly arduous task. Therefore you'll probably be met with one of the many endings of the first game in which Frank either came close to but just missed out on the true ending or was simply left adrift in a sea of the undead come to the games close. Who was behind the outbreak? How does it spread? Why are these characters so secretive?

Luckily the game allows for your skills to carry on in the next playthrough, meaning that it's easier each and every time you cycle through the events, until finally when rocking a buff boy set of skills and a silly hat or two, you finally down the evil military commander at the end of the game and save the day.

It's worth all the blood, sweat, and tears to see this game finally end with a proper resolution.
