7 WB Games Rocksteady Could Make Next (Since It's Not Harry Potter)
3. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
The turtles' beat-'em-up style is perhaps the best suited to the Arkham combat system of all Warner Bros properties, and after the classic side scrolling arcade game, this could be their route back to the top.
Yes, like practially every other movie the toe-thumbed beauty Megan Fox has starred in in her career (Google it), the recent movies have been closer to something other than turtles found floating in sewers than they have been to the glory days of the cartoon. But the characters themselves still garner such love that lots of people are tipping Rocksteady to pivot away from DC and give us our long awaited turtle fix instead.
In 1989, the turtles starred in a much loved Konami coin-op, a side scrolling beat-'em-up like Final Fight. The game was successful enough to be ported to home consoles, where it inspired Battletoads and pioneered four-person couch co-op. These days it would probably be online multiplayer rather than couch co-op, but the idea of banding together with three mates, fighting over who gets to be Raphael and then booting the Rat King back into the green, feculant waters of the New York sewers would be an absolute joy.
