Bane was an enjoyable boss in Batman Arkham Asylum but he operated exactly like the Titan thugs, so his strength and presence stood out far less than they should have. This was certainly not the case in Arkham Origins. It has often been stated that Bane is one of the few villains who actually bests Batman in physical strength and ability (he did break the Bat's back after all) and this is felt in Arkham Origins. The second part of the second confrontation between Batman and Bane is what gets the number 6 spot on the list. Bane was far more intimidating in Origins and this final part portrayed that perfectly as Batman has to resort to stealth tactics to defeat him. What makes this even more tense is the fact Alfred is constantly reminding you that Bane is reaching his full potency (in other words one hit and game over). Yeah maybe not such a great idea to zap Bane back to life after all. Cowering in grates or sneaking up behind Bane to perform a silent takedown might sound like an easy time but because of Alfred's commentary tension is raised to the roof. With detective mode being jammed, two health bars flashing red and Bane having reached his full potency the game provided me with one of those 'now or never' moments to take Bane down. And I did it, just. Shortly after I found myself thinking "now that is why Bane should be feared".
