7. Super Bomberman R

Despite many of us still being on the #f*ckkonami train, Super Bomberman R is a straight throwback to its original (unlike the godawful 'new age' shooter that emerged on the 360), making modern the sort of tactical, puzzle-based multiplayer fans have come to love.

Playing on a grid filled with obstacles to obliterate as you and your friends/A.I. attempt to destroy 'lanes' and catch each other, Bomberman's core appeal has always been outwitting your opponent by freeing up the right 'angle' and getting the drop on them.

It's another title that works perfectly if you just want to give someone a Joy-Con for a quick game, yet sadly, the asking price for is rather insane (£45/$50). Given Nintendo could've emulated one of the older versions of the game for very much the same effect, Super Bomberman R is still definitely recommendable through its formulae, but you're probably best waiting for that price to go down, at least a tad.
