7. Dark Chronicle - Dark Genie
The Dark Genie is the main boss of Dark Cloud. So when Level-5 and Sony released the second instalment, Dark Chronicle, they also included a secret ending in which you can fight Dark Genie.
To unlock this secret boss you have to complete the main game. Once you've done that you can begin the after-game where you explore the Zelmite Mines. There are 38 floors with dead ends containing mini-bosses. Dark Genie is waiting on the final floor.
You have to pick up Dynamite from Dead End 3 and use it to blast open the walls of the final floor of the mines. There, Dark Genie is guarding the precious Zelmite you're looking for, but he won't give it up without a fight.
Dark Genie is the hardest boss in the game but he is also entirely optional. The Zelmite Mines don't really effect the story of the game because you've already completed it. The dungeon is for players who want to see everything the game has to offer and to beat the game in its entirety.
It's a callback to the beloved first game, with the inclusion of Dark Genie being a Easter egg for devoted fans of the series.
