Similar to Spider-Man, Kat is a superhero who doubles as a photojournalist. But while Peter Parker is only able to swing from building to building like a glorified Tarzan in New York, Kat can fight enemies in the sky, levitate to rich islands up in the heavens and spiral down to the lower markets, causing mayhem by making fruit and crates float all over the place.

Why? Because she can literally bend gravity to her whim.

The best thing about Gravity Rush 2 is undoubtedly its open world. Most similar games like Batman Arkham City merely have you travelling from one connected space to the other - no different to any other sandbox template. Gravity Rush 2, however, take advantage of the possibilities that no gravity brings by having dozens of isles scattered in the sky – taking you from flying high to plummeting faster than a suicidal jumper.

In further contrast to the open worlds of the Batman and Activision Spider-Man games, all the towns in Gravity Rush 2 are colourful, distinct, and full of personality. They are also full of exciting side missions and challenges such as races, photographic opportunities, and elaborate costumes to earn.

While a lot of superhero video games like to brag about having open worlds, only Gravity Rush 2 can gloat about having one that looks like it exists inside of a Studio Ghibli film.
