8 Brilliant Ways Video Games Punished Out-Of-Bounds Players

5. You Thought You Could Escape? - Slender: The Arrival

I think it's pretty safe to say that if the Slender Man ever darkened one of our doors we'd be looking for the nearest window to jump out of, because the combination of no face, long grabber Stan hands, and awfully ill-fitting suit is pretty much the trifecta of "no thanks I'll pass cheers"

Yet for those looking to pass beyond Slendy and into the game world that's been deemed as "out of bounds" for players, they might end up with a jump scare they weren't bargaining for, as it turns out the devs planned for this very scenario.

By using boundary-breaking glitches and hacks, it's very possible to pass beyond the intended game world in Slender: The Arrival, yet before you can admire all the creepy locations at different angles or search for clues to add to the mythos of this urban legend, Slender Man himself will suddenly teleport to your location accompanied with the text "Not even a bug in this game will save you from me" resulting in a game over.

It's quite terrifying, to say the least, but it does pop the "I Escaped?" achievement! Small consolation for the heart attack you've just be delivered I know.
