3. In-Game Achievement/Trophy Trackers
We've seen a few variations on how games have adapted to the advent of achievements and trophies, with the latest being the Xbox One letting you
'Snap' a dynamic list to the side of the screen that will update in real time. It's a very cool addition, but one that still robs you of some valuable screen real estate. Over on the PS4 your only option is to leave a game, hop across to the Trophy icon and wait for a sync to match everything up. Various games like Gears of War or Devil May Cry saw their developers include in-game trackers for either Achievements or Trophies, yet it's not something everyone abides by. Why? As it stands we'd get far more longevity out of our games if these optional objectives were front and centre. However, rather than sitting around and waiting for console UI to innovate (which only happens once a year if that), developers should include breakdowns of their own achievements as standard, simply as an option on the pause menu.
