8 Evil Video Game Choices That Came Back To Haunt You

1. Stealing From The Shopkeeper - Spelunky

As I mentioned before, stealing in video games isn't usually an action that a player can make without some repercussions, yet when you compare the consequences you face in Return To Zork with those in Spelunky it's like comparing apples to oranges, except here the orange has a shotgun and he's not afraid to use it!

In the world of Spelunky you'll sometimes come across little caverns that double up as shops, each manned by a gruff and grizzled veteran of the Shopkeepers Union where it's possible to buy new items and weapons. Yet such boons aren't cheap and seeing as you're basically making a living out of robbing tombs and temples, you might see this as another opportunity to "liberate" some new artifacts.

Yet be warned as these shopkeepers do not mess about, and at the slightest provocation will fill your arse full of buckshot likely killing you in mere seconds. HOWEVER, if you're a determined thief there are ways to make off with your ill-gotten gains, namely through either murdering the shopkeep or planning an escape route in advance.

Yet I wouldn't be cackling so hard so early my friend, as there is one more surprise waiting for you at the end of the level. That's right, it's another shopkeeper, who caught wind of your deeds and is ready for some payback. This plus the fact other shopkeepers turn hostile on-site, makes being evil in this title more hassle than it's worth!
