8 Fallout Companions With Surprisingly Dark Pasts

6. Clover - Fallout 3

Fallout 3
Bethesda

One of the darkest aspects of life in the Capital Wasteland is the widespread adoption of slavery as a practice. In a world where morality is in short supply, to say the least, a number of ghouls and humans have been subjected to a lifetime of forced servitude. The evil practice is most prevalent in a town of slavers known as Paradise Falls and controlled by Eulogy Jones.

Once the player gains access to the villainous settlement with evil karma, they will be offered the chance to purchase the services of Clover, one of the personal slaves of Jones. She has been forced into a life of subservience and is completely obedient to her slavemaster.

Unfortunately, the trauma that Clover has experienced has left her trapped in a Stockholm syndrome-like mentality meaning that while the player can free her of the chains of Jones' ownership at Paradise Falls, they are unable to return any true autonomy.
